Animal Healing

Our pets are so good for us in more ways than we think.

  • They bring love and joy into our lives
  • We give love, happiness and comfort to them
  • By stroking and petting our pets we heal ourselves
Pets bring so much joy into our lives, our cat constantly keeps us entertained with his antics.
Our cat was from a cat rescue charity and we gave him a good home with plenty of food, warmth, love and care so he feels content and loved.

But animal healing is something that can happen by chance without the owner knowing. Animals are very theraputic. Just by having a cat sitting on your lap and you stroking the purring ball of fluff, you are calming your body and your mind. Or playing with your dog, stroking him/her, or walking the dog.

When you are giving your attention to an animal whether it be through play, petting, grooming or feeding, your focus is on the animal and usually nothing else. By doing this you are clearing your mind of any worry, stress, fear or tension and by clearing your mind, just as in meditation, you go to a truly peaceful place.

Even just thinking about your pet can take you to this same peaceful place of calm and tranquility. Try it and see for yourself. Notice the change in your vibrational energy. If you are a fan of the law of attraction this is one of the ways to take you into a happy place/feeling that certainly changes and lifts your vibration to bring you into alignment.

Animals do so much for us and in return its nice to do something for them by training them properly, giving them the correct care they need, the correct food, healthy food and making sure we have the right knowledge in order to care for them properly.

Coping with the Loss of a Pet

Hope this helps

I have spoken to so many people who have lost pets and how it has devastated their lives. It takes such a long time to get over. although you don't ever get over it, you move because you have to. The healing is an ongoing process.

I have seen grown men cry when they speak about their dear departed pet, more so than if their wife had died. So its nothing to do with being a sissy.

I am often told that a pet is just that and nothing more. For me that is not true. My pet is part of my family just like my children. I don't have to conform to the norm and if people don't like it thats tough.

To be worried about peer pressure is not for me and I would advice anyone who is going through this to say the same. Your feelings are yours and noboby else's and you choose how you want to feel.

I have given an account of what happened to my cat on my website

Blessings

Pet Loss

For all you animal lovers out there the loss of a pet is one of the hardest things to cope with. And so many non animal lovers just don't understand the hurt and emotions that we go through when one of our beloved pet departs this world.

You have to ignore the sniggers from others because they think you are mad, but you know that you have loved and cared for one of gods creatures to the best of your ability and should feel proud of that fact and also that you are a more caring person than your non animal lover counter part.

It is up to you to do everything you can to get through your loss, there aren't many understanding people around who will help you. Close friends and family are usually quite good if they have pets themselves as they will understand some of your pain.

Allow yourself to grieve and allow enough time to grieve, take time off work, take time out, sort through your photos of your pet, plan a rememberance day, do whatever you need to do or what you think will help you and don't worry what other people will think.

Like any other loss you don't ever get over it but you do get through it and it becomes easier to cope with. I found it very difficult to think of all the good times with out cat when he had been so ill and all I could think about was memories of him being ill. But no that some time has passed I have moved on from that and can think about all the fun memories I have, I think about all the funny little things he used to do and how much he made us laugh.

So please don't beat yourself up, I promise you it does get easier with time. As they say time is a great healer and it is.

Kindest wishes
