Coping with the Loss of a Pet

Hope this helps

I have spoken to so many people who have lost pets and how it has devastated their lives. It takes such a long time to get over. although you don't ever get over it, you move because you have to. The healing is an ongoing process.

I have seen grown men cry when they speak about their dear departed pet, more so than if their wife had died. So its nothing to do with being a sissy.

I am often told that a pet is just that and nothing more. For me that is not true. My pet is part of my family just like my children. I don't have to conform to the norm and if people don't like it thats tough.

To be worried about peer pressure is not for me and I would advice anyone who is going through this to say the same. Your feelings are yours and noboby else's and you choose how you want to feel.

I have given an account of what happened to my cat on my website

Blessings

Christine
